AMESBURY Town kept alive their own title hopes by defeating Wessex Division One leaders Team Solent at Bonneymead Park this afternoon. The Blues, who started the day in third place, won by the odd goal in five to go second. They now trail Team Solent by four points but have a game in hand. Next up for Town is Tuesday's trip to tenth-placed Hythe & Dibden (7.45pm).

WHEATSHEAF Cabin Crew triumphed 34-5 in their derby clash away at South Wilts. The win was the visitors' 14th of the campaign and keeps them top of the Dorset & Wilts League Division Three (South) table. Closest challengers Poole were handed a walkover in their game with Blandford II.

IN-FORM Salisbury Rugby Club visit Lansdown, near Bath, this afternoon looking to keep the pressure on title favourites Swanage & Wareham. The Castle Road club, who beat the league leaders 25-18 last weekend to register their tenth league and cup win in a row, take on Walcot RFC. Today's hosts are seventh in the table with ten wins from 17 league outings. Salisbury won 37-22 when the sides met at Castle Road earlier in the season. Kick off at Albert Field is at 2.30pm. Meanwhile, Swanage, who still hold a 14-point lead at the summit, visit strugglers Corsham.

AMESBURY Town host Wessex Division One leaders Team Solent looking to close the gap on the title hopefuls. The Blues are now third in the table, seven points adrift of today's visitors but with a game in hand. After suffering two defeats on the spin, they bounced back to winning ways in midweek when beating near-neighbours Laverstock & Ford 4-1.
