RIVERSIDE Tennis Club entered the festive period on a high after a number of successes in their latest round of matches. Its Sarum A team were victorious against Wellow on Sunday in their Winter Division One contest, while the club's Sarum B team defeated Littleton C in their Winter Division Three encounter. Riverside's Southampton Winter League Division One mixed team registered a first win of the season when seeing off Lyndhurst. The club held its Christmas Drinks and Presentation night on Tuesday.

WHEATSHEAF Cabin Crew, 69-0 winners last weekend at Oakmeadians II, complete their 2014 fixtures on Saturday with a local derby away to Salisbury's thirds. In-form Wheats are sitting pretty at the summit of the Dorset & Wilts League Division Three (South) table, having won all 11 of their fixtures so far this term. Eighth in the table Salisbury have won six and lost five of their league fixtures.

BEMERTON Heath Harlequins, buoyed by last weekend's away win at Verwood Town, return to Western Way on Saturday to host Fawley in their latest Wessex League match. Graham Mankin and Jack Slade were on target in the 2-0 win at Potterne Park which lifted Ian Chalk's side to 12th in the Premier Division table. This Saturday's visitors are 15th - four points and three places behind Heath. Kick off is at 3pm. Harlequins are running a special festive promotion for Saturday's game - their last at Western Way in 2014. As well as reduced admission prices for adults, all accompanied children (under 16s) will be admitted free.

AMESBURY Town's Wiltshire Senior Cup quarter-final tie at Warminster Town, postponed last weekend, will now be played this Saturday, (December 20), 3pm kick off. Town were due to stage a Wessex Division One match at home to New Milton Town, but this will now be rescheduled. The Blues will be hoping to join near-neighbours Laverstock & Ford in the last four.
