A QUARTET of City of Salisbury's young athletes have been selected for next month's English Schools Championships at Gateshead. New member Kieron Appleton of St Joseph's will compete in the 80m hurdles, while Bishop Wordsworth's Jaymee Domoney lines up in the 1,500m. AMESBURY Cricket Club bounced back quickly from last weekend's defeat to Winterbourne by beating Farley. Batting first at Archers Gate, Amesbury were all out for 170. Rain delays meant Farley were chasing a revised total of 140 from 32 overs. However, they were all out for 107.

SOUTH Wilts Cricket Club's firsts suffered a six-wicket defeat in Saturday's Southern Premier League match at Bashley (Rydal). The reigning champions batted first but were all out for 156.
