CITY of Salisbury athletes Clive Smith and Kate Mansfield joined runners from across the globe at the weekend at the 14th Edinburgh Marathon Festival. Smith braved wind and rain north of the border on what is usually one of the fastest marathon courses, to clock a creditable time of 3:20.58 hours in the main event. Kenya's Peter Wanjiru took the honours in 2:19.36. Meanwhile, the ever-consistent Mansfield, competing in the half-marathon, completed the course in 1:45.18.       Report by John Ruskin
