SALISBURY Racecourse's opening 2016 fixture now boasts an eighth race. Tomorrow's Family Race Day meeting sees two divisions of the Betfred 'Like Us On Facebook' Maiden Stakes (at 1.35pm and 2.35pm) sandwich the day's feature race the City Bowl Handicap. It is the first of 16 meetings at the popular Netherhampton venue this summer. WESSEX League champions Salisbury suffered a surprise 4-1 reverse away at AFC Portchester this afternoon. All five goals came in the opening 45 minutes. Salisbury, who were beaten 2-0 in their Wiltshire Senior Cup final against Melksham Town in midweek, trailed after just five minutes to a Jason Parrish goal. He then netted a second before Eddie Perrett pulled one back for the Whites. Parrish turned provider for Curtis Robbins to restore the hosts' two-goal advantage then Luke Sweeney netted from close range to send the hosts in 4-1 to the good. Salisbury were reduced to two men in the second half when Sam Roberts saw red.
