A QUINTET of Salisbury schools were involved in the recent mini festival of orienteering, held in the grounds of South Wilts Grammar School. A total of 60 children, aged six and seven, took part in a range of activities related to the sport of orienteering. Schools represented were Harnham Infants, Sarum St Pauls, Stratford sub Castle, Woodlands First School and Wyndham Park Infants. Three of Sarum Orienteering Club’s junior coaches were on hand to assist at the event, alongside several senior members of the club. The event culminated in a relay, which all the children thoroughly enjoyed, this being the only really competitive aspect of the afternoon. Wyndham Park Infants School proved the victors.
